CHASKA, MN – Resilience and community spirit were on full display at the 8th Annual 100 Holes for HOPE event on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Golfers took to the course for a grueling marathon session, successfully raising more than $25,000 to benefit Veterans and Active-Duty Military members across the region.
The event serves as a flagship fundraiser for the PGA of America REACH Foundation Minnesota, the charitable arm of the Minnesota PGA.
The "100 Holes" challenge is exactly what it sounds like: a physically and mentally demanding test of endurance. Participating golfers spent the day racing through more than five full rounds of golf, fueled by a mission to support those who have served the country.
"Playing 100 holes was no small feat, but knowing it was for such a meaningful cause kept the momentum going," said, JD Drimel, CEO, Minnesota PGA
The $25,000 raised will help fund PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere). This program is a cornerstone of the foundation’s military pillar, providing:
Free Instruction: Professional golf lessons for Veterans and Active-Duty Military.
Adaptive Play: Expert instruction from PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf for those with physical or cognitive challenges.
Supportive Community: A safe environment for Veterans to build camaraderie and improve their well-being through the game of golf.
Currently, Minnesota PGA operates 17 local PGA HOPE programs throughout the Minnesota PGA Section, and the success of this year’s event ensures these vital programs can continue to expand.
With the 2025 event in the books, the Minnesota PGA is already eyeing next year. Plans are already in motion for the 9th annual event in 2026, with the goal of exceeding this year’s record-breaking participation and fundraising totals.
